Privacy Policy
Max is a personal AI gym coach. This page explains what data the Max app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It is short because the app collects little.
What we collect
- Your email address: used to secure access to your account and to sign you in.
- What you share with Max: your goal, your answers during the opening conversation, your daily check-ins, and the feedback you give after sessions.
- Your training history: the sessions Max builds for you and the picture of your training he maintains over time.
That is all. The app has no analytics or tracking SDKs, shows no ads, and collects no location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers for advertising. The app is currently free; no payment information is collected.
How your data is used
For one purpose: coaching you. Your check-ins, feedback, and history are what Max reads to build each day's session. Your data is never sold and never shared with anyone for marketing.
AI processing
Max's coaching is generated by artificial intelligence. To build your sessions, the information you share is processed by Anthropic's Claude API, our AI provider. This processing happens only to generate your coaching, and this data is not used by Anthropic to train its AI models. By creating an account and using Max, you consent to this processing.
Where your data lives
Your account and training data are stored on servers in the European Union. AI processing by our provider may involve transfer outside the EU, protected by standard contractual safeguards.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is active. When your account is deleted, your data is deleted with it.
Deleting your account
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by writing to hello@therealmax.ai from the email address linked to your account. Deletion is completed within 30 days.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you can ask at any time to access the data we hold about you, correct it, receive a copy of it, or delete it. Write to hello@therealmax.ai and we will answer.
A note on training data
What you tell Max about your body is used only to coach you: how training felt, where it was hard, how you recovered. Max is not a medical service and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Age
Max is not intended for children under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
